Paintings FAQs
Care instructions for paintings
Protect your watercolor painting with a sheet of filtered glass or acrylic. It should also be mounted in acid-free mat board to keep the paper from discoloring over time. Choose a mat that is thick enough to provide plenty of space between the glass of the frame and the painting, avoiding them to stick together.
Keep the painting out of direct light and away from heat, humidity, oils and odor. All of these can damage the color pigments permanently.
Your watercolor painting will last for many years without fading if you follow these procedures.
Watercolor proposal content
Product description, information about photo reference, sketch, background elements on painting, payment, deadlines, confirmation of price and size.
House portrait art proposal validity
All art proposal is valid for 10 days. When I submit a proposal, I allocate time in my schedule to dedicate myself to that piece of art. After 10 days, if the client does not close the contract, I remove his work from my schedule and make room for another client. So, if you decide to hire my services after 10 days you received the art proposal, you will need a new quote, with a new delivery date. And last, but not least, during those 10 days, I guarantee the prices. After 10 days prices may change without prior notice.

Jewelry FAQs
Jewelry material
All jewelry are made with high grade materials. All earrings are hand crafted using polymer clay, a very light weight medium, .935 sterling silver or gold filled.
Rarely I will offer pieces in stainless steel, titanium or brass posts. These pieces are prototypes that I used to refine or validate my designs. They cannot be returned or exchanged.
All earrings posts are attached to the polymer clay with the “Piino Technique”, a method created by Rita Botelho. Earrings do not contain any kind of glue.
All jewelry are handmade, so they are perfectly imperfect.
Due to the handmade nature of clay, please allow for slight variations to your piece from the photos.
Sensitive ears
Sensitive ears can wear Dona Lu’s jewelry.

Bending the earrings
As tempting as it may be to bend your earrings to see the flexibility, please don’t! They can become weak and break.
